What is the most current issue you seem to be facing that is giving you tough times? This country I know is Nigeria. We have had more than our fair share of what seems to go around the world. Sometimes, it seems to me as if being the giant of Africa also means we have to take the giant share of the troubles allocated to Africa. But, nature should do well to remember that we really are not living up to that name.
Maybe that will convince Mother Nature to at least reduce the issues we get to deal with as Nigerians. That aside, what is the most current issue that has been probably giving you not just sleepless nights, but also fitfully turbulent dreams? Sometimes, I do not know which would have been better, not been able to sleep or to be able to sleep only to keep waking up periodically in cold sweats. Let me give you a brief rundown of the possible issues you might be facing. Just take your time and make your pick. We have the Boko-Haram still on their killing spree with no intention to relent in their current course of action. We have on the part of government, an empty treasury that was able to cough out about 700 billion as bailout for Governors who have not been able to settle some outstanding debts in their states.
On the part that concerns youths, we have unemployed graduates still on the streets looking for something to do to keep body and soul together. We just hope the devil does not become real thoughtful and supply them with ideas for their idle hands to carry out. But we can also count on our fellow Nigerians to always look for some gullible persons and swipe them of the money they do not have.Imagine a jobless person asking you to pay in some money into his account so he can fix up a very juicy job for you. You can always trust Nigerians to be really industrious no matter what comes their way. Or, it could be done on a larger scale and some bodies in government would decide to run a scam job interview that would collect a thousand Naira from over a million persons.
If you can trust Nigerians to be smart in the face of ardent hunger, you can also trust some of them to really be as gullible as gullible can be. The bad part always is that the next time something like this comes up, many more persons would apply and forget that phrase about history always wanting to repeat itself. I hope for the sake of sanity that no one gets to die this time around. We also have on the part of government and its officials a lot of misdirected money. Screw the white man for teaching us how to steal with the pen and the click of a button. I guess it was real easy to point accusing fingers when you had to rob the bullion van or bank to get the money. Now, all they have to do is to just move the pen on paper or simply with the click of a button. Choose the issue that gives you a lot more concern and let me know which one bothers you more.

But, why lose hope? Hey, I am not talking about hope like it’s my inheritance. I know Nigerians pin a lot of things on hope and I agree I am highly susceptible to that but the hope I want to offer is definitely another version. Let`s talk about your mindset. When you wake in the morning, what do you see ahead of you? Do you awake to the idea of a bleak day or a blissful day coursing your mind? They say life does not give you what you think you deserve, but what you demand of it. Let`s talk about you. You covet a job with some great company but you can barely speak good English. You probably look for every opportunity to switch to vernacular.
Hey, I am not asking you to become more British than the queen, but at least, be able to not make the Queen lament the death of her language. You want that job with the telecommunications sector and you still have issues with understanding how to start a windows XP desktop. REALLY!!! Considering the fact that windows has advanced to windows seven and now windows eight and newer versions are about to get released, how then do you intend to cope? You probably would be speaking binary to your employers when they are discussing Microsoft`s knack for really friendly user friendly interfaces.

What can you bring to the table? That is one important question that should motivate you to decide what on your next course of action. But, do well to remember, you are never too old to go back to school even if it is elementary computer knowledge class. Please do not for any reason lose hope but don’t just stand in one place and expect the world to be brought down to your feet there. Do something profitable and change your mindset.
